The Senior Center has a nice display of flowers outside of it. I shot the top image at about 200mm, at f 4.5 – and the bottom at 9.0 – so it has a little more depth of field. I’m not sure which I prefer, but I’m happier with this photo than anything else that I’ve posted. Go telephoto!

Bokeh is a photographic term which basically means the shape of the out of focus highlights in a picture. When trying to throw an entire background out of focus, you’ve got to be careful with what the highlights look like – in this case, they are way too distracting. 1.8, 1/100.
