Awesome right?  Photostitched – I’m going to take some work on the dark spots and see what I can do… future updates coming.

Dogs?  Jumping?

Dogs? Jumping? Traverse City

Dogs? Jumping? Traverse City

Traverse City has this crazy dog jumping contest.  For distance.

Awesome.

More vacation to follow

Last post for a bit, as noted below – Emily dancing in the sprinklers.

Some good color – a little more motion blur would have improved it some more.

The weather is hazy and gross – and on top of that, I need to thesis it up.

Trip this week.  Hopefully nice weather, and new photos come sunday.

Maybe something before then, if I find something that catches my eye.

I played wih the color on the previous image… Better?

A pretty lake, a kid building a castle – what more could you ask for.

Maybe some color in the photo – I need to start underexposing.  See the sky?  I could do better.

Independence Lake, Michigan

Independence Lake, Michigan

This picture is way more awesome than the internet will let me show – I have a  190 mb tiff of independence lake on July 4th.  28mm, 10 shots stitched together. I don’t think I can upload a sufficiently large image to show off the detail

Brand New Grill

Bought a new grill…  Smaller than the old one, and way more portable.

This is one of the sharpest photos I’ve ever taken.  50mm 4.0, 1/30.

Yeah, I don’t understand how  a 1/30 shot came out sharp either.

I’m playing some ultimate again.

Some highlights from this week – I didn’t get to shoot as many as I wanted – my playing to sitting ratio is pretty good – or would be if I wasn’t out of shape.  Names are left out to protect the innocent.

We got some O!

I’m still not running more than 60% and not changing directions quickly – see scar .  So I’m throwing a lot, and my defense “needs work.”

Which is strange for a former D team deep.

But some people are playing D!

and we’ve got a some people with talented throws.

This should be a good season – and a great season if I can get healthy in a reasonable time frame…

More photos to come in the next few weeks. I would say this first batch was a 3/10… I want some 10s by the end of the summer.

Another irritating thing

Picture taken from the perishable pundit – not one of mine.

This is one of those things that boggle me – there is no reason that a normal, everyday peach isn’t kosher.   Why pay for certification?  Why pass it on to the consumer, and why do consumers want it?  I had one recently… I won’t buy them on principle in the future – why support this practice?
